Hello! My name is Sunbeam, and I currently work as a research engineer in the Human-Guided Machine Learning Group at the US Army Research Laboratory. I got my BS in Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and my MS in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. My interests are primarily in vision-language models, robotics, and startups.
Here are a few things I've worked on:
Working as a research engineer in the Human-Guided Machine Learning Group at the US Army Research Laboratory. I'm working on agentic LLMs and tuning them with reinforcement learning or evolutionary algorithms. I've also worked on a project that benchmarks and probes the multimodal capabilities of GPT-4V, Claude 3, Gemini, and other models on Atari game environments.
MS in Aerospace Engineering at TAMU. I worked on developing imitation learning algorithms for robots.
Interned as a computer vision engineer at Starfish Space. I worked on neural radiance fields for reconstructing objects in space.
